Vijayalakshmi Natarajan, as a part of the country management team, leads the Risk functions and Government relations including support around matters of governance (non-Board) for the Company. She is responsible to drive on an ongoing basis robust risk culture across the organization delivered through review and challenge across all areas of risks viz., Financial Risk including Insurance Risk, Mid Office Investment Risk, Non-Financial Risks such as Operations Risk, Regulatory Risk, Business Continuity Risk, Customer Protection Risk including Distribution & Sales Practices Risk, Information and Cyber Security risk, Third Party Risk, Fraud Risk through robust Non-Financial Risk Programme supported by Non-Financial Risk Assessment, Non-Financial Risk Challenge Tool, Testing & Monitoring through the year. Vijaya also helms the Government Relations and supports the organizations’ governance (non-Board) matters to uphold its ethics and compliance values at large. She is supported by team members that have segregated responsibilities to manage each of the above risks.

Vijayalakshmi joined the Company on 4th March 2024 and has assumed the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer position w.e.f. 8th March 2024. W.e.f. 1st August 2025, she is designated as the Chief Risk Officer – Governance (non-Board), Government Relations of the Company.
