PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship Season 2 Finals

‘SMIT TOSHNIWAL & JAGADEESH KALAGA LIFT TROPHIES IN UNDER-17 FINALS OF PNB METLIFE JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP-SEASON 2 HYDERABAD’

Hyderabad, February 6, 2016: PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship Season 2 Hyderabad Finals were concluded today at the PJR GHMC Indoor Stadium with exciting matches between young talented shuttlers. 

In Boys Singles U-17 category, top-seed Jagadeesh Kalaga displayed control and determination by defeating Ankit Kumar and lifting the trophy with scores 21-15, 21-16.

 In Girls Singles U-17 category, 2nd seed Smit Toshniwal defeated Chimran Kalita to emerge victorious with scores 21-10, 21-17.

 In Boys Singles U-15 category, top-seed K. Sai Charan clenched the finals match by beating Anish Chndra with scores 21-16, 21-11. 

In Girls Singles U-13 category, unseeded A. Abhilasha displayed amazing skills and turned the match in her favour by defeating 3rd seed Meghana Reddy in a close 3-set encounter. Final scores: 13-21, 21-19, 21-12.

The tournament was organized in association with Sara Foundation (An organisation for the promotion of sports).  PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship has been approved by Badminton Association of India (BAI).
