    Deep and Malvika emerge victorious in U-17

    Mumbai, 18 Dec 2015: Mumbai leg of PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship Season 2 was concluded on Friday with exciting final matches between talented young shuttlers. Top skills were displayed when unseeded Malvika Bansod took on top-seed Kalpita Sawant and lifted the Girls under-17 category trophy by winning a 3 set-thriller finishing with scores 10-21, 21-18, 21-16. Malvika struck gold twice when she defeated Aarya Deshpande in another close battle in the Girls under-15 finals with scores 18-21, 21-18, 22-20.
    Deep Rambhiya lifted Boys under-17 trophy by comfortably overpowering Digvijaysinh in straight sets 21-13, 21-15. In Boys under-15 category, Bhavin Karamchandani came back strong after losing the first set rather easily against Ishaan Bhatnagar. Both shuttlers fought hard and performed phenomenally before Bhavin clenched the victory with final scores 8-21, 24-22, 21-15.
    The tournament was organized in association with Sara Foundation (An organisation for the promotion of sports). PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship has been approved by Badminton Association of India (BAI) and was being conducted with the support of Maharashtra Badminton Association.

    Om Atul Gavandi beat Suchir Ravva[4] 21-18, 21-17.
    Girls Singles U-9
    Taarini Suri[1] beat Shrawani Walekar 21-9, 21-10.
    Boys Singles U-11 
    Prajjwal Sonawane[1] beat Vishanatan Parihar 21-9, 21-16.
    Girls Singles U-11
    Tasnim Mir[1] beat Tara Shah[2] 21-16 21-10.
    Boys Singles U-13
    Tanishq Saxena[1] beat Ameya Khond[2] 21-15, 21-15.
    Girls Singles U-13 
    Aarya Deshpande[1] beat Tasnim Mir[2] 21-13, 20-22, 21-16.
    Boys Singles U-15 
    Bhavin Karamchandani[3] beat Ishaan Bhatnagar 8-21, 24-22, 21-15.
    Girls Singles U-15 
    Malvika Bansod[1] beat Aarya Deshpande 18-21, 21-18, 22-20.
    Boys Singles U-17 
    Deep Rambhiya[1] beat Digvijaysinh Kushwaha[2] 21-13, 21-15.
    Girls Singles U-17 
    Malvika Bansod beat Kalpita Sawant[1] 10-21, 21-18, 21-16.
    The action will continue in the next leg of PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship with launch in planned cities.
